Free Slide Magazines

Ian of Fangfoss (near Pocklingtion) is looking for a good home for 35 slide /magazines that fit a Sawyers slide projector (and possibly other makes/models too).

30 trays are Sawyers "Easy Edit" and hold 36 slides each. The other 5 trays are "Yankee" brand - 2 of them hold 36 slides, and 3 hold 30 slides.

If you are interested please contact Ian by e-mail ianaitchison155@btinternet.com or by phone on 01759 368105 or 07739 213261 . Free to anyone who could collect them, it it’s too far to travel, Ian will post them to you if you pay to cost of the postage and packing.

PAGB  Slide Folio

The PAGB Slide Folio is available, free of charge, to clubs for the following dates.

2008/2009

Two dates only left – Fri 14 Nov. 2008 and Fri 21 Nov. 2008

2009/2010

29 March 2010 to 18 April 2010

2010/2011

29 November 2010 to 19 December 2010

2011/2012

7 November 2011 to 27 November 2011

 

These are judged as the best slides in the UK, and I’m sure that your members will want to see the slides.  If you would like to book the Folio please contact Pat Reed. Email Pat

Slides can only be booked once for each date. Clubs are responsible for transporting the CD to the next club on the list

 

A good turnout for the 2008 Exhibition and Assembly,

 

Brian welcomes a large crowd of YPU members to the annual assembly at Northlight Gallery, Holmfirth. This years Exhibition and Assembly was hosted by Holmfirth Camera Club. More information on the Exhibition is available by visit the event website. www.photo08.com

Judge the Judge!

In order to maintain the quality of judging throughout the YPU, your Executive needs feedback.  Have you had a new judge that did well? New judges on the supplementary list need two good reports to move on. Was your last Judge too severe? or just plain bad?

We will never know if you don't tell us!

 A good showing for Selby in the PAGB Great British Cup Competition

Formed in 1899 the Yorkshire Photographic Union is the oldest regional federation of  photographic clubs and societies in  the United Kingdom.

The Yorkshire Photographic Union are members of the The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

The Union exists to provide an organisation of camera clubs and photographic societies throughout the region.

Clubs vary from the major clubs of the towns and cities, localised clubs at the workplace or specialist clubs such as the Yorkshire Monochrome Group or the Yorkshire Medium Format Group. 

 

Through the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain the benefits of a wide variety of lectures are available.      

In addition the YPU organise day and weekend seminars on a wide variety of photographic topics.
