I have had a lifelong interest in photography spanning 45+ years dipping in and out with varying degrees of enthusiasm, satisfaction and reward with perhaps mono being a very enjoyable aspect of my hobby over the years.

The many varying aspects of photography, have, and always will be a challenge to me, with horizons to aim for, whether it be landscapes, portraiture, macro or any of the many other facets of this very subjective art.

The technical advancements in all aspects of photography over the years have been there to be grasped, and now with the advent of the digital era, (I made the transition several years ago,) allowing not only the ability I believe for total creativity, but it also allows the opportunity to compete against fellow photographers be it club or salon and it makes me realise how much I still have to learn and how much there is to admire in those photographers, their work and their images that set the standards that I hope one day to emulate.
